Education is not filling of a pail, but lighting of a fire- William Butler Yeats

Greetings from ISG-Abqaiq!

October 13, 1990 brought in 34 students in Grades K-4. Known as “Abqaiq Academy” then to ISG-Abqaiq as it is called now, our school has come a long way. Till date we have our 151 alumni move on beyond the secure walls of ISG-Abqaiq. The first batch of 9th graders graduated in 1996 and now is in the work force in various parts of the word and Abqaiq is proud to have made a difference in their lives and celebrating that difference too!

The parents, staff and students, the triangle in education, form the support group that has continued to help the school reach this far. Through dedication, hard work, and respect for one another the school has provided opportunities to develop students into global citizens. Whether it was to prepare the students for boarding schools in the United States or their home countries or pursuing high school in the Kingdom, our K-9 school has provided them a firm foundation for life-long learning. At ISG-Abqaiq we are committed to excellence!

The global languages program adds uniqueness to the American Curriculum followed by the school and the district. The National Language Program provides the students a platform to remain in touch with the culture and heritage of their home countries. The multi-national staff, students and parents each form an amalgam of various cultures and languages that contributes to the richness of the school culture. Thus, the curriculum used is a modified American curriculum with the inclusion of a National Language Program.

Our school is a part of the larger International Schools Group governed by a twelve member, multi-national Board of Trustees.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions about our school.

Sincerely yours,

Vineeta Dambal, Principal
